Coupled with a $1 million sidecar co-investment fund from Saint Louis University’s endowment, the Billiken Angel Network members have a strong commitment to identify and invest funds and expertise in businesses that have SLU DNA; firms owned by current or former SLU students, current or retired SLU faculty and staff, or firms using intellectual property licensed from SLU.

Institute for Private Business

The Institute for Private Business is focused on assisting the growth and vitality of family and other closely held businesses through a dynamic mix of educational programs, consultations, and the environment for developing collegial relationships and peer mentoring.

Habitat for Neighborhood Business

Habitat for Neighborhood Business is a volunteer organization that develops retail and service business centers in economically distressed neighborhoods. Through a unique incubation program, Habitat strives to revitalize neighborhoods with new economic activity, job growth and business role models for youth as well as other citizens. The initial focus has been in North St. Louis City.

Smurfit-Stone Entrepreneurial Alumni Hall of Fame

Since 2007, the Center for Entrepreneurship has celebrated Saint Louis University alumni who live their entrepreneurial dreams and make a difference in the community at the Smurfit-Stone Entrepreneurial Alumni Hall of Fame induction ceremony. In every case, we seek role models who incorporate the motto, “Do Good. Do Well.”
