Matthew Porter is co-founder and CEO of Contegix LLC, a managed hosting and cloud computing provider with a hard-won reputation for reliability and expert support with its signature “Beyond Managed Hosting” service. Contegix is known for delivering exceptional customer service and infrastructure intelligence. Under his leadership, Contegix has grown to become an award winning Internet infrastructure and hosting company. Porter maintains active involvement in all major efforts in the company from strategic technology direction to continuously driving the core values of Contegix, especially its passionate support and innovation.
Before founding Contegix, Porter served as Director of Professional Services for Demand Management Inc. (DMI) in Saint Louis. At DMI, Porter helped build a team of senior developers and consultants to implement the company’s next-generation of enterprise supply chain management. Prior to DMI, Porter held the position of Senior Application Developer for World Wide Technology, where he first met Contegix CTO and co-founder Craig McElroy. Porter also previously held an engineering position at IBM Global Services.
In 2006, Porter was distinguished as a “30 Under 30” for the Saint Louis area. He currently serves as a board member for EO (Entrepreneurs’ Organization) Saint Louis and a mentor for ITEN (IT Entrepreneurs Network) where he coaches and mentors early-stage entrepreneurs. In addition, Porter currently sits on the Advisory Board for a select number of startups, including OffCampusMedia, and is on the board of directors for numerous open source communities. Porter is married to Courtney Porter, also a native of Saint Louis. The couple has three children – Avery, Gabriel, and Owen. Porter and Contegix contribute to numerous charities, such as South Side Day Nursery and ALS Association.
